This group for women, led by Debbie Heisley-Cato, gathers over a simple meal. Our purpose is to make deep connections with one another in God’s living presence.
To begin discussion, we center around questions arising from the previous Sunday’s sermon. However, you do not need to have attended the previous Sunday’s service to be able to participate. All women are welcome! This group meets every other Wednesday at 6:30 pm at The Journey.
All persons who identify as male are invited to this group. We hold a Men’s Prayer Breakfast on the second Saturday of each month at 8:30 am at Front Street Diner in Harrisburg.
We gather for breakfast, connection, lots of laughter, discussion and time in prayer. Our hope is that each of us leaves feeling more connected to others in our church and knowing we have someone praying for us. This is an invitation to journey together and find belonging and deeper connection.
The Young Professionals Group is a space for young adults in The Journey community to connect and build meaningful relationships. They meet monthly, typically on the second Tuesday from 7:00–9:00 pm, though dates may vary. Gatherings alternate between social outings at various locations and engaging discussions at The Journey. We’d love for you to be part of this vibrant and welcoming group!
Our Prayer Team is dedicated to covering the life and ministry of The Journey in prayer. This team will focus on seeking God’s guidance for the vision and practical work of the church—lifting up our ministry teams, upcoming events, and the ways God is leading our community forward.
The team meets every other Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 PM at The Journey. If you sense God’s prompting to be part of this prayer effort, and would like more information, please reach out to Pastor Debbie at dheisley-cato@thejourneyhbg.org.
Hosting a group doesn’t have to be intimidating or overwhelming, and it isn’t about being perfect. It’s about serving others by giving them a place to share life and be known. We want our groups to be about relational investment. A group host’s goal is to create a space for people to be known, loved and cared for, and to help them move towards their next steps.
