This group for women, led by Debbie Heisley-Cato, gathers over a simple meal. Our purpose is to make deep connections with one another in God’s living presence.
To begin discussion, we center around questions arising from the previous Sunday’s sermon. However, you do not need to have attended the previous Sunday’s service to be able to participate. All women are welcome! This group meets every other Wednesday at 6:30 pm at The Journey.
All persons who identify as male are invited to this group. We hold a Men’s Prayer Breakfast on the second Saturday of each month at 8:30 am at Front Street Diner in Harrisburg.
We gather for breakfast, connection, lots of laughter, discussion and time in prayer. Our hope is that each of us leaves feeling more connected to others in our church and knowing we have someone praying for us. This is an invitation to journey together and find belonging and deeper connection.
The Young Professionals Group is a space for young adults in The Journey community to connect and build meaningful relationships. They meet monthly, typically on the second Tuesday from 6 – 8 pm, though dates may vary. Gatherings alternate between social outings at various locations and engaging discussions at The Journey. We’d love for you to be part of this vibrant and welcoming group!
Our Worship Small Group, which recently began gathering, meets every other Thursday, from 7-9 PM in the Youth Room (lower level of the church).
This group meets every other Thursday for a relaxed and meaningful time of worship, prayer, and community. Whether you play an instrument or simply want a place to worship alongside others, you are welcome. Come as you are and join us as we grow in faith and connection together.

New Family Connection Group
We’re excited to launch our new Family Connection Group for young families with children!.
Whether you’re new to The Journey or have been attending for years, this is a great opportunity to connect with other families in a fun, relaxed setting. We hope you’ll join us as we grow in friendship, encourage one another, and do life together.
SANCTUARY is a safe space for open conversation about LGBTQIA+ topics and living the Christian life. All are welcome—LGBTQIA+ individuals, allies, and anyone who wants to listen, learn, and grow together with respect, grace, and love.
Beginning Sunday, September 20, we will meet every other Sunday, from 4-5 PM in the Fellowship Hall (lower level of the church).
The Journey Prayer Team seeks to support the ministries of The Journey through prayer, helping build a firm, Christ-centered foundation for all that we do.
The team meets every other Tuesday, from 6:30–7:30 PM at The Journey. No experience is needed, and praying out loud is not required!
Each gathering begins with a prayer exercise where we learn together and experience different forms of prayer. We then spend time praying for our staff, leaders, and the ministries and events happening in the weeks ahead.
Whether you’re new to prayer or have been praying for years, you’re welcome to join us!
Hosting a group doesn’t have to be intimidating or overwhelming, and it isn’t about being perfect. It’s about serving others by giving them a place to share life and be known. We want our groups to be about relational investment. A group host’s goal is to create a space for people to be known, loved and cared for, and to help them move towards their next steps.
