Throw Back:
From retro toys to fashion trends, we all love a good throwback. (Especially for grown-ups because it reminds us of being young again.) There are things that remind us of a moment in time, but other things feel timeless and like they’re always in style. In this four-week series, kids will travel through the decades and see that the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels are always trending. As we hear from Jesus, we’ll see it’s always good to be humble, we can always forgive, Jesus is always fair, and love always needs action.
My name is Kyra Gonzalez! I’m from the Poconos, Pa., and have lived in central PA for 5 years, in Mechanicsburg. I have a bachelor’s in Social work from Eastern University and a Master’s of Social Work from Widner University. I have worked in Foster Care/Adoption as a supervisor and I currently work as an Outreach Coordinator for Safe Families for Children which is a foster care prevention program. I love to spend quality time with people and go to Chick-fil-A, Target, and Trader Joe’s. The middle part of the brownie is the best part.
Our certified team of teachers and assistants adhere to our safe sanctuaries policy as well as required background checks. To serve with children and youth, you must be at The Journey for at least 6 months.
