The Journey is partnering with Church World Service (CWS) to welcome a new refugee family as they resettle and integrate to the US. CWS along with welcome teams like us have 90 days to help a family become self-sufficient and integrated to the United States.
CWS partners with individuals and churches to help foster relationships, support families in their resettlement, and help refugee families find belonging.
The Journey’s desire is to help people find belonging, experience the liberative spirit of Jesus, seek justice in the world, and radically love our neighbors. This ministry allows us to put our vision into action. We believe in welcoming and serving all people, and being an active role in advocating for those who are marginalized like our refugee neighbors.
To be clear, our purpose is not for religious conversion, but to welcome our new neighbors and help foster a sense of belonging for them.
